The Government of Punjab (India), led by CM Bhagwant Mann, has launched the Mukh Mantri Mawan Dheeyan Satkar Yojana 2026 to provide monthly financial assistance to women across the state. Announced on International Women’s Day (8 March 2026), the scheme is also known as the Punjab ₹1,000 Scheme or Bhagwant Mann ₹1,000 Scheme.
Managed by the Department of Social Security & Women and Child Development, Punjab, the program ensures direct benefit transfers (DBT) to women’s Aadhaar-linked bank accounts.

- Monthly financial support:
- General/OBC women – ₹1,000 per month
- SC women – ₹1,500 per month
- First payments released on 1 July 2026, covering arrears from April–June
- Satkar Card issued as proof of enrolment
- Payments credited directly to Aadhaar-linked bank accounts
Eligibility Criteria
Who Can Apply
- Women aged 18 years or above
- Registered voters in Punjab
- Aadhaar card showing Punjab address
- No income limit – even housewives are eligible
- Multiple women in one household can apply separately
Who Cannot Apply
- Regular or retired government employees
- Pensioners from PSU, boards, corporations, or cooperatives
- Serving/former MLAs, MPs, ministers and their spouses
- Income tax payers

Registration Process
There is no online portal for registration. Applications are accepted only through government-authorized centers:
- Visit Registration Centers
- Anganwadi Centre
- Sewa Kendra
- Facilitation camps
- Mahila Satkar Sakhi (doorstep volunteer)
- Submit Documents
- Aadhaar, Voter ID, bank details, photo, caste certificate
- Verification & Satkar Card
- After approval, beneficiaries receive a Satkar Card
- Monthly payments begin via DBT
Rollout & Scale
- Phase 1 (14 April 2026): 9 pilot constituencies – Adampur, Anandpur Sahib, Batala, Dirba, Kotkapura, Malout, Moga, Patiala Rural, Sunam
- Phase 2 (15 May 2026): Expanded to all 108 constituencies
- 26,000 registration centers set up across Punjab
- 50 lakh women registered by July 2026

Payment Schedule
- General/OBC women: ₹3,000 first installment (3 months arrears)
- SC women: ₹4,500 first installment (3 months arrears)
